Family Promise seeks to increase long-term housing by engaging clients for an extended period of time after they graduate from one of the Family Promise programs.
Circles is a voluntary program that will keep families engaged for a longer period of time greatly increasing their long-term success rate. Many families disengage from their case manager once they are housed.
By forming a collaborative partnership with the Poverty Solutions Group of Central Florida, Family Promise will establish a Circles program for previously homeless families wishing to improve their economic standing. Circles matches trained middle- and high-income volunteers with low-income clients to empower achievement of economic stability and engagement of the broader community to address systemic barriers that perpetuate community-wide poverty. The Circles data shows that participants’ income increases an average of 30% after participating for six months, 43% after one year and 72% after 18 months.
