Kathie

Executive Director

Kathie serves as Executive Director of Family Promise of Greater Orlando and has more than 30 years of nonprofit experience in the Central Florida community. In her role, she leads the organization’s strategic vision and ongoing growth, working to ensure that families experiencing homelessness have access to safe shelter and a pathway to sustainable housing.

Before joining Family Promise, Kathie served for 13 years as Director of Education and Community Relations at Heartland for Children. In that role, she oversaw child abuse prevention initiatives across a multi-county region and led a range of programs supporting children and families in need.

Kathie has dedicated her career to serving vulnerable populations and strengthening communities across Central Florida.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Florida and a Master of Science in Health Services Administration from the University of Central Florida.

Abigail

Housing Program Manager

Abigail is our Housing Program manager, overseeing Family Promise of Greater Orlando's housing programs.

Abigail graduated from University of Central Florida with a Bachelors of Social Work and also holds an Associates of Science in Marketing and Business Management. She has spent her career working with families in crisis and brings 10 years of experience in the social services field.

Audreka

Prevention Success Coach

Audreka is a Prevention Success Coach for Family Promise of Greater Orlando. She rejoined the organization in 2024, bringing with her over a decade of dedicated experience in social work and case management. Prior to her current role, Audreka served in impactful positions including Waiver Support Coordinator, Housing Stability Case Manager, and Inclusion Specialist.

Throughout her career, Audreka has specialized in advocating for individuals and families navigating housing instability, disabilities, and systemic barriers. She has developed and implemented person-centered support plans, coordinated essential services, and built strong connections to community resources to promote long-term stability. Her approach is rooted in compassion, cultural humility, and a deep commitment to social equity.

Audreka holds a Master’s Degree in Human Services and a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work. She is passionate about empowering underserved populations and guiding them toward sustainable paths of success.

Carin

Senior Director of Development

Carin is the Senior Director of Development of Family Promise. She assists with donor development, fundraising and grant writing.

She attended Emory University and received a Bachelor’s Degree in English and obtained a Master’s Degree in Communications from the University of Florida.

Denise

Rapid Rehousing Success Coach

Denise serves as a Navigator for Family Promise of Greater Orlando, where she assesses the eligibility of individuals and families experiencing homelessness for entry into the Rapid Rehousing Program. With over 32 years of experience in the health sector, Denise has dedicated her career to supporting vulnerable communities, volunteering with various nonprofit organizations to assist individuals and families from the homeless community.

She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Nurse Anesthesia and Education from the University of Technology, Jamaica, W.I.

Janet

Volunteer and Community Outreach Coordinator

Janet is the Volunteer and Community Outreach Coordinator for Family Promise of Greater Orlando. She works with community volunteers, churches, corporate and civic partners to serve the families in our Shelter Program. She also assists with special events and volunteer initiatives.

Prior to joining the team, Janet worked for Orange County Public Schools as Volunteer Coordinator for the Read2Succeed program. She has a held leadership positions with Girl Scouts of Citrus Council and Florida PTA, and she sits on the Board of Directors for both the Central Florida Hockey Club and the Southern Girls Hockey League

Janet holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and Theatre from Westminster College of Pennsylvania.

Jennifer

Director of Operations

Jennifer is the Director of Operations for Family Promise of Greater Orlando. Jennifer oversees the Business Management functions associated with human resources, finance, procurement/purchasing and other operational areas. Prior to her work at Family Promise, Jennifer has worked in the non-profit sector in community outreach to assist families and individuals out of homelessness.

Jennifer has a Bachelor's Degree in Spanish and International Business from Clarion University of Pennsylvania and a Master's Degree in Business Administration from Middle Tennessee State University.

Kaitlyn

Youth Success Coach

Kaitlyn is the Youth Housing Case Manager/Success Coach for Family Promise. She works with our youth to establish sustainable housing and life skills to maintain housing, employment, and daily living.

Kaitlyn graduated from Saint Leo University with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Social Work. She has spent her career working in case management with youth, those experiencing homelessness, and emergency crisis.

Kalimah

Front-End Program Manager

Kalimah Azeez serves as Front-End Program Manager for Family Promise of Greater Orlando, bringing a strong background in community leadership and program development. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Strategic Communication from Governors State University and has experience in strategic planning, program coordination, and data-informed problem solving.

An advisor to the City of Memphis Multicultural Committee, Kalimah also lectures nationally on community engagement and leadership. She is known for bringing people together and collaborating effectively across diverse stakeholders, with a deep commitment to building solutions that expand opportunity and strengthen communities.

Kyle

Director of Development

Kyle serves as the Director of Development for Family Promise of Greater Orlando, where he leads fundraising and development efforts. He brings nearly a decade of experience in nonprofit development work, having previously worked in Washington, D.C. before relocating to the Orlando area.

Kyle holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Baldwin Wallace University.

MarCherie

Development Consultant

MarCherie serves as Development Consultant. In this capacity, she provides strategic leadership in fundraising and communications, partnering with the executive team to strengthen donor engagement, expand corporate relationships, and advance philanthropic growth.

Her portfolio includes grant strategy and development, direct response campaigns, sponsorship development, signature fundraising events, and integrated agency communications. MarCherie works to align storytelling, systems, and stewardship to ensure sustainable revenue growth and measurable community impact.

She earned her Bachelor of Arts in English from Florida State University, where she cultivated the narrative foundation that now informs her approach to mission-driven development.

Mary Jo

Prevention/Stabilization Success Coach

Mary Jo is a Housing Success Coach for Family Promise of Greater Orlando. She has worked in this capacity since 2023. Prior to her work at Family Promise, Mary Jo worked for Camelot Community Care as a Certified Child Welfare Case Manager. She is a member of American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences and is currently working toward her CFLE credential (Certified Family Life Educator). She brings over 20 years of experience in the non-profit sector.

Mary Jo received a Bachelor’s of Arts in Family and Child Science from New Mexico State University. Mary Jo is a Master’s Degree Candidate at Regent University and will be graduating with an M.A. in Human Services next year.

Olyvya

Executive Assistant

Olyvya serves as Executive Assistant, providing direct support to our Executive Director while also contributing to finance and operations. In her role, she helps keep the organization running smoothly by managing administrative priorities, supporting key operational processes, and assisting with financial coordination. Her ability to balance high-level strategic support with day-to-day execution makes her a valuable asset to the team.

Sylvana

Veteran Program Coordinator

Sylvana is a Housing Case Manager/Success Coach for Family Promise of Greater Orlando. She has worked in this capacity since 2020. Prior to her work at Family Promise, Sylvana worked for the Bermuda Government as Financial Assistance Manager. She brings over 30 years of experience in the non-profit sector.

Sylvana received a Bachelor’s of Arts in Psychology.
