Kathie Southern has more than 25 years of nonprofit experience in the Central Florida area. As the Executive Director of Family Promise of Greater Orlando, Ms. Southern will continue to grow and expand the agency to ensure families experiencing homelessness will find a safe place to call home.
Prior to joining Family Promise in Orlando, Ms. Southern was the Director of Education and Community Relations at Heartland for Children for the past 13 years. While in that role, she was responsible for the oversight of Child Abuse Prevention efforts for the tri-county area and many other initiatives on behalf of children and families. Ms. Southern has dedicated 27 years of her life to helping those in the community who need it the most.
Ms. Southern attended the University of Florida where she received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and the University of Central Florida where she received a Master of Science in Health Services Administration.
Alina Saucedo Paucara
Accounting & Finance
Alina Saucedo Paucara has over 17 years of experience in accounting. She served as the General Accountant for grants through the United Methodist Seminary. Following that, she served for five years as the internal auditor for the Central America, Caribbean, and Mexico for the General Board of Global ministries through the United Methodist Church.
Carin Anderson is the Development Manager for Family Promise. In this role for the past five years, Ms. Anderson cultivates individual and corporate donors as well as oversees initiatives such as events, direct mail campaigns, grant writing and agency communication.
She attended Emory University and received a Bachelor’s Degree in English and obtained a Master’s Degree in Communications from the University of Florida.
Audrey Silcox is the Development Associate for Family Promise. In this role for the past two years, Ms. Silcox is responsible for donor communication, database management and social media. She also assists with events, direct mail campaigns, and agency communication.
She attended the University of Central Florida and received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Marketing.
Family Services Manager
Leota Young has seven years of nonprofit management experience working with homeless and at-risk families. As the Family Services Program Manager of Family Promise of Greater Orlando, she leads a team of case managers helping to house families who are homeless as quickly as possible.
Prior to joining Family Promise in Orlando, Ms. Young worked at the Homeless Services Network as a case manager. Prior to that she worked for Chrysalis Health and Harbor House as therapist and a housing specialist.
Ms. Young has Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree from Phoenix University where she obtained her degree in Psychology with an emphasis in Mental Health. She is currently pursuing her doctorate at Capella University in Public Service Leadership.
RRH Success Coach
Hary Desir is a Housing Case Manager/Success Coach for Family Promise of Greater Orlando. He has worked in this capacity since 2019. Prior to his work at Family Promise, Mr. Desir worked at the Jewish Family and Children’s Service Center of Greater Philadelphia for 14 years as a social worker and case manager. He brings over 17 years of experience in the non-profit sector.
Mr. Desir attended Hunter College where he received his Bachelor of Arts in Sociology.
Emergency Shelter Coordinator
Michelle Dwyer is the full-time case manager/program coordinator for the Family Promise IHN Shelter Program. Prior to her current role, Mrs. Dwyer worked with at Harbor House as a residential services manager. She has over 30 years of experience in the nonprofit sector. Mrs. Dwyer works with each family to develop and implement a case plan for achieving the family’s goals.
Ms. Dwyer attended the American Institute of Holistic Technology with Bachelor’s of Science in the Holistic Childcare Program.
RRH Success Coach
Sylvana Hayling is a Housing Case Manager/Success Coach for Family Promise of Greater Orlando. She has worked in this capacity since 2020. Prior to her work at Family Promise, Ms. Hayling worked for the Bermuda Government as Financial Assistance Manager. She brings over 30 years of experience in the non-profit sector.
Ms. Hayling received a Bachelor’s of Arts in Psychology.
Sonia Miranda is a Housing Case Manager/Success Coach for Family Promise of Greater Orlando. She has worked in this capacity since 2021. Ms. Miranda brings over 3 years of experience in social services.
Ms. Miranda received a degree from Valencia College.
Reynaldo Morgan, MSW
Reynaldo Morgan is a Housing Case Manager/Success Coach for Family Promise of Greater Orlando. He has worked in this capacity since 2020. Prior to his work at Family Promise, Mr. Morgan worked at Prudent Property Managers in New Jersey as a Supervisor for service coordinators. He brings over 11 years of experience in the non-profit sector.
Mr. Morgan attended Audrey Cohen College and received a Bachelor’s of Science in Human Services and received a Master’s in Social Work (MSW) from Yeshiva University in New York City, NY.
RRH Success Coach
Mina Morsli is a Housing Stability Case Manager. Ms. Morsli has an extensive progressive experience working in nonprofit organizations in her hometown of Aquitaine County, France and in Seminole County, Florida.
Ms. Morsli obtained an Associate of Arts in Sociology from the Grindle Honors Institute of the Seminole State College of Florida. She then attended the University of Central Florida and received a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. Ms. Morsli is currently earning her Master of Arts in Public Administration, at the University of Central Florida.
Family Services Specialist
Ruthie Williams is a Family Support Specialist for Family Promise of Greater Orlando. She has worked for Family Promise since 2018. Prior to her work at Family Promise, Ms. Williams worked at Goodwill Industries of Central Florida as a case manager. She brings over 4 years of experience in the non-profit sector.
Ms. Williams attended the University of Phoenix and received a Master’s in Business Administration.
Bridge Housing Coordinator
Tessa Williams is a Bridge Housing Coordinator for Family Promise of Greater Orlando. She began working for Family Promise in 2020. Prior to her work at Family Promise, Ms. Williams worked at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress for 17 years.
Diane Williams is the Family Promise van driver. She is responsible for safely transporting client families to and from shelter, work and childcare. Ms. Williams has worked in this capacity since 2019.
