If all resources are exhausted and it is essential for a family to enter shelter, the Congregational Shelter Program’s warm hospitality is the foundation of the Family Promise model. This innovative model, using existing space of faith-based congregations, our Congregation Partners, and volunteers motivated by compassion, has helped hundreds of families overcome the crisis of homeless in Central Florida. Working with community resources, Family Promise provides short-term, family friendly, emergency shelter and housing-focused case management services, at 1/3 the cost of traditional shelter.​​
